Based in the Air Canada Montreal Headquarters and reporting to the Manager, Revenue Management, the Flight Revenue Manager is responsible to monitor and manage assigned group of flights by setting up the appropriate flight parameters and ensuring optimal flow of traffic in support of the corporate objectives. 
  • Monitor and manage in PROS O&DIII assigned group of flights within the context of network optimization
  • Set up optimization parameters and monitor alerts, holidays and special events, critical flights and strong and weak flights to ensure flights are performing as planned or to identify trends and/or additional revenue opportunities.
  • Monitor and calibrate overbooking levels show-up rates, cabin sizing and decrement parameters.
  • Conduct post-audits on spill, stifle, spoilage and denied boarding ratios and adjust assumptions accordingly
  • Monitor and maintain integrity of the bid prices by continuous coordination with the Demand and Pricing Managers concerned.
  • Leverage all Premium cabin revenue opportunities and answer waitlist clearance requests as required
  • Monitor flight class mix and liaise with the Demand Manager to ensure that objectives are met and opportunities for increase revenues are seized
  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge/understanding of the Origin-Destination flows, booking and traffic patterns, passenger behavior and segmentation, seasonality, holidays, special events, competition and any other variable that may have a significant impact on assigned flights. Manage business rules in RTDP as per the processes and guidelines provided
  • Produce and analyze management information reports to support decision making and to audit implemented strategies.
  • Manage Aeroplan allocations within the terms of the CPSA, group bookings, special class allotments and/or restricted capacity
  • Liaise with Demand Managers and Pricing Managers in an effort to best manage flight actions and ensure that the flight objectives remain in-line with corporate objectives.
  • Liaise with Pricing, Scheduling, Reservations, Finance, Jazz, RMOps, SOC/Day of Flight, Airports, Codeshare partners, Schedule Change Coordinators, Wholesalers, Sales and Aeroplan on daily operational, commercial and customer service issues.
  • Work with Scheduling to effectively implement capacity planning actions
  • Develop and maintain expertise on revenue management tools and techniques, as well as marketing information systems.
Qualifications
  • University degree required with specialization in business, economics, mathematics, engineering or equivalent. Graduate studies are an asset.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to generate reports and successfully translate and communicate the data to achieve corporate goals
  • Proven leadership, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and to prioritize heavy workloads and tight deadlines
  • Solid business/commercial orientation and experience as well as an understanding of the airline industry competitive environment
  • Must be a team player, self-starter and able to work under general direction
  • Proficiency with Excel and Word applications. Knowledge of Access is an asset
  • Experience & knowledge in Origin-Destination Revenue Management an asset
