Wasaya Airways is currently recruiting an ASSISTANT STATION MANAGER
LOCATION in YPL-Pickle Lake
Reporting to the Station Manager the Assistant Manager will oversee and assist in the planning and
carrying out of all daily operations. The Assistant Station Manager will help to ensure safe, profitable
and efficient operations and acts in place of the Station Manager, when required.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the Station Manager in overseeing policies and procedures within each department
Prepare all daily operations in an efficient and profitable manner
Supervise the work of employees, provide clear instructions and explanations to employees
when giving assignments; and assigns employees work for maximum efficiency
In conjunction with the Station Manager, handles all employee relations
Provide charter & bulk freight quotes to customers in a professional and courteous manner
Assist in managing aircraft activity on the ramp
Ensure customer care levels are maintained to the highest level
Acts as Station Manager when the Station Manager is unavailable
Assist with the prompt reporting of all accidents, injuries and incidents
Assist with the hiring, termination and performance management of staff which includes timely
completion of probationary and yearly performance assessments when due
Assist with making sure that all staff has completed all mandatory company training
Perform and uphold Wasaya’s Customer Care Commitments to both internal and external
customers
Any other related duties as assigned
Minimum Skills and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous airline operational experience is preferred
3 years previous supervisory experience
Valid driver’s license
Must have excellent customer service skills
Ability to supervise and train employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work
assignments
Solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
Excellent teamwork and team building skills
