Job Summary Administer all the WCB claims and follow up with employees including claims management and return to work. The role is also responsible to ensure that all employees have a safe and healthy work environment and Swissport complies with all current and future regulation and laws. Job Responsibilities Administer all the WCB claims including handing and collecting required forms, confirming all necessary information with different parties, submitting claims to the Authority in a timely manner and following up cases with individuals Actively managing all WCB claims including preparation of WCB appeal submissions and liaise closely with WorkSafeBC Track and record active WCB claims Participate in the Monthly Station Employee Health & Safety Committee Report to the Manager of Safety & Quality on a regular basis Ensure all hazards and incidents are being reported and recorded and investigated on occurrences in line with corporate standards Maintain and track communication with injured employees Participate in the back-to-work programs Perform other duties as required Qualifications and Competencies Diploma/ professional qualifications or equivalent in related field is an asset Previous experience in safety management and/or health and safety management system is an asset Knowledge of specific laws and industry regulations related to safety and safety management is an asset In-depth knowledge of MS Office Good verbal and written communications in English Personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness Able and willing to work a variable work schedule Able to obtain full security clearance and driving permit for airside operations Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Swissport as an equal opportunity employer bases its hiring decisions on the business need and the best qualified candidates available, and does not discriminate in its employment decisions on the basis of any protected category.
