Manager. The 705 Flight Operations Manager is responsible for the
maintenance of operational standards on all aeroplanes operated. The 705
Operations Manager is responsible for the supervision, organization, staffing
and efficiency of flight operations, cabin safety, crew scheduling, training
programs and the Flight Safety Program. The 705 Operations Manager is
responsible to the Vice President of Operations & Security. As a proud

JOB DESCRIPTION
•The identification of operations coordination functions which impact Operational Control (e.g., maintenance, crew scheduling, load control, equipment scheduling);
•The contents of the Company Operations Manual, the supervision of and the production and amendment of the Operations Manual;
•Liaison with the regulatory authority on all matters concerning flight operations, including any variations to the Air Operator Certificate;
•Liaison with any external agencies which may affect operations;
•Ensuring the Air Operator Certificate operations are conducted in accordance with current regulations, standards and air operator and parent company policy;
•Ensuring crew scheduling complies with flight and duty time limitations including approval of all pilot schedules;
•Ensuring all crew members are kept informed of any changes to the regulations;
•The receipt and implementation of any aeronautical information affecting the safety of flight;
•The dissemination of aeroplane safety information, both internal and external;
•Qualifications of flight crews;
•Maintenance of a current operations library;
•Approval and administration of overall flight operating safety policy and procedures;
•Creating, distributing and amending Company Route Manuals;
•Liaison with the Person Responsible for Maintenance if applicable by type of operation;
•On-call and Duty Pilot responsibilities as scheduled;
•Checking standards;
•Aeronautical publications;
•Ensuring all navigation databases are current for all aircraft approved for conducting approaches;
•Ensuring crew is informed of navigation database errors via web memo;
•Attendance and Performance management for subordinates and oversight of their staff
•Financial accountability of labour, training and crew travel costs:
•Any other responsibilities and projects as assigned by the Vice President Operations and Security.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
•Post-secondary education, preferably a university degree
•Canadian ATPL
•Significant managerial experience (3 years minimum)
•Canadian Class 1 aviation medical
•Sound knowledge of MS Office products
•Good communication, organizational and time-management skills
•A minimum of 5000 hours of flight time with a minimum of 3000 hours of flight time on swept-wing jet aircraft (medium and above)
