Position Title: Flight Attendant / Lead Trainer, Cabin Safety
Department: Cabin Safety
Base: Calgary, AB
Reports To: Manager, Cabin Safety
The Cabin Safety department is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic leader with the ability to facilitate all technical training courses including but not limited to Initial Training, Annual Training and CRM. Through Facilitation based delivery, the Lead Trainer, Cabin Safety will ensure Transport Canada and Cabin Safety’s policies, procedures and regulations are met.



Responsibilities:
  • Remain current on training requirements, required skills and trends
  • Remain certified and current in the Flight Attendant role; flying will be required
  • Ensure all Cabin Safety training programs and lesson plans are delivered accurately and consistently
  • Ensure training equipment and materials, including lesson plans, are in order, current and available for all training classes
  • Ensure training centre, aircraft and simulators organized and ready for trainees
  • Build a positive working relationship with all trainees & Flight Attendants and promote teamwork through creating a motivating and enjoyable learning environment
  • Assess the trainees & Flight Attendants performance and provide performance feedback through existing methods and measurements
  • Conduct Familiarization, Line Indoctrination and Line Check flights
  • Under the direction of the Manager, Cabin Safety assist with the design and development of new or existing training programs, including learning objectives and lesson plans
  • Evaluate Flight Attendant on-line performance with Line Check Flights through existing methods and measurements
  • Provide continual support and communicate information to the Manager, Cabin Safety
  • Adhere to and demonstrate proficiency in policies, procedures and regulations
  • Continue performance development through supported initiatives
  • Actively supports the company Safety Management System by participating in the program and acting appropriately for their role as defined within the SMS Manual.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Flight Attendant
  • Intermediate skill level of MS Word, PowerPoint and Outlook is required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
  • Proven organizational and time management skills are required
  • Flexibility in scheduling requirements; Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays and to travel on a consistent basis
  • Eligible to work in Canada:
  • Be able to travel freely without restrictions to the USA
  • Medically fit to meet all physical requirements of the position
  • Adult facilitation skills and/or course design/development experience is an asset
  • Qualified Line Flight Attendant with minimum 2 years’ experience preferred
  • FAM/Line Check/Line Indoctrination experience is an asset
Conditions of Employment
  • Must successfully complete North Cariboo Air’s initial Flight Attendant training program
  • Successfully undergo a 5 year traceable history criminal background and security check and obtain a Transport Canada Security Clearance (RAIC)
  • Possess the legal right to travel with no restriction to and from Canada and the United States.
