Workforce Coordinator - WestJet Encore (60696)

 Roles and Responsibilities: 

· Responsible for processing over 1000 crew members bi-weekly payroll from our automated system Merlot to Kronos – double checking all leaves, training, and bi weekly hours. 

· Complete continuous audits of flight crew member’s monthly schedules to ensure all crew members are compensated accurately for events – double checking all coding completed by other teams involved including crew scheduling. 

· Required to field inquiries from crew members pertaining to reconciliations of their hours for both bi weekly and monthly totals. 

· Asses pay discrepancies brought forward by crew members and make adjustments where necessary 

· Work with Merlot to continually improve the automated pay process including programming of new items for agreement changes, reporting any bugs that are found during the audit process, troubleshooting bugs, as well as testing new releases when   required. 

· Do recalculations for vacation entitlements following any interruption in employment to ensure projected entitlements are current and accurate 

· Manage and maintain pilot time bank by balancing salary with banked hours in accordance with the pilots request and the agreement. 

· Publish payroll summary reports for crew members in Merlot to the merlot crew portal which may include correcting coding to ensure accuracy in the report. 

· Liaise with payroll/Kronos/JDE to ensure proper coding for crew members 

· Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications: 

· At least 2-year previous experience preferably in pay and/or scheduling 

· Previous experience with airline operations is an asset 

· Data analysis applying business functions 

· Knowledge of Merlot computer system is an asset 

· Knowledge of Kronos computer system is an asset 

· Intermediate experience with MS Word, Outlook, and Excel 

· Strong organizational, analytical and conflict resolution skills 

· Ability to build strong relationships with team member, other business units and external vendors 

· Will be required to work weekends
