JOB TITLE: Compliance Officer COMPETITION No.: W2018-101 STATUS: Full Time, Permanent REPORTS TO: Managing Director CLOSING DATE: Tuesday, January 30, 2018 ABOUT WASCO: Winnipeg Airport Services Corp. (WASCO) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Winnipeg Airports Authority that provides quality airport operations, management, facility maintenance and technical services to Canadian Airports in accordance with Canadian Aviation Regulations. OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW: Reporting to the Managing Director, the Compliance Officer will provide overall quality guidance, support and training to WASCO and its subsidiaries, based in Winnipeg, but not limited to Winnipeg Operations. WASCO is seeking an independent, motivated and energetic candidate to fill this new and evolving role. Applicants should have strong quality and compliance process driven skills to support this dynamic group in managing PPP contracts, ISO certified environments and all other performance based contracts. WASCO is seeking individuals who demonstrate flexibility, initiative, ability to work independently, and superior written and verbal communication skills. RESPONSIBILITIES: Define, share and embody our vision for quality products Train, engage and motivate teams to own quality and delight our customers Collaborate with Internal business owners to implement modifications to processes Identify and address quality issues and customer concerns promptly Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective solutions React to and quickly resolve customer concerns/complaints Develop a tracking system and provide insightful reporting and analysis to operational leaders Collaborate with department managers to identify opportunity for process improvement. Anticipate issues and implement systems and processes to prevent them Conduct various audits, specifically in a Public Private Partnership (PPP) environment Ensure on time compliance related to PPP Project Agreement commitments. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Completed post-secondary degree or certificate in a related field ISO 9001 Team Lead Auditor Certificate 2 years’ experience in a quality audit role A dynamic individual with the ability to engage and motivate others Pronounced attention to detail Persuasive individual capable of influencing others at various levels of an organization Professional demeanor with excellent communication and presentation skills Passion for exceeding customer expectations Must have a passion for accomplishment and "getting things done" Demonstrated ability to prioritize and operate with a sense of urgency Preference will be given to those with PPP experience WORKING CONDITIONS: This full-time position will be based in Winnipeg, providing leadership to a multi-functional team that provides airport operational services and support. The successful candidate must be able to travel.
