The Opportunity
Reporting to the Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer, the Executive Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to the VP & CCO, and contributing to the efficient operations of the Business Development team. The VP & CCO travels frequently, and the successful incumbent will be in a unique position to work closely with the leadership team to support the unit in attaining their goals and ensuring that relevant information is filtered to the VP & CCO while away.

Responsibilities include:
  • Proactively assess day to day activities and potential challenges, and bring issues forward issues for resolution;
  • Initiate and compile reports from information received from various levels of management;
  • Support the VP & CCO by anticipating needs and coordinating materials for meetings given current issues;
  • Demonstrate discretionary decision making in managing appointments and priorities for the VP & CCO;
  • Research, collect, and review information to identify trends and outliers;
  • Exhibit sound judgement and the ability to make reasonable decisions without direct guidance;
  • Develop positive and professional relations with the Business Development team, other Executive Assistants, other WAA team members, and external stakeholders; and
  • Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality.
Selection Criteria include:
  • 5 years’ previous experience in a similar role, with a minimum of two years working with a senior/executive team;
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to a fast paced, dynamic environment;
  • Pro-active focus on providing support;
  • Ability and willingness to problem-solve, assess alternatives, and identify solutions;
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills;
  • An outgoing, proactive, driven personality;
  • Strong organization and time-management skills, and the ability to balance multiple tasks and prioritize activities;
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, and as part of a high-performing team;
  • Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); and
  • Post-secondary education strongly preferred.
Condition of employment is the ability to obtain and maintain an Airport Restricted Area Identification Card.
