Pacific Coastal Airlines is looking for a permanent full-time Stores Manager . This position is based out of the hangar located near the South Terminal building at the Vancouver International Airport in Richmond.
The primary function of the Stores Manager is to manage the inventory, parts and materials flow for the Facilities Maintenance Departments to ensure timely completion of all maintenance related activities and tasks, thus providing safe and reliable aircraft for on-time performance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare work schedules and wage budget for the Store Department
- Ensure shipping/receiving of all products and components is accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner
- Investigate means to ensure compliance with signouts/issuing of all products and components under the Stores Department
- Ensure accurate coding of all invoices
- Continue with efforts to simplify Stores procedures
- Ensure accuracy of stores inventory counts
- Reconcile stores inventory counts with the accounting records
- Interact with suppliers and Maintenance Control Managers to ensure that required parts for all projects arrive in a timely fashion
- Address performance issues and carry out performance evaluations
- Provide approval of expenditures under $1000 CAD
- Attend monthly meetings when requested
- Manage and be familiar with the duties of the stores clerk and ratable controller
- Guide personnel towards better, more effective strategies for completing their tasks
- Monitor daily activities of the Stores personnel to ensure adherence to their job descriptions
- Work closely with the records staff to have absolute control of all ratable components, ensure they are tracked properly in AMS and the times are accurate
- Interact with maintenance personnel to ensure the stores system is fulfilling their requirements
- Interact with the Manager, Procurement and Maintenance Financial Officer regarding unit counts and valuations
- Identify any parts that could require an SDR(Service Difficulty report) to the Quality Assurance Manager
Education & Qualifications:
- Valid class 5 driver's license
- Previous experience in a related field is considered an asset
- Clear understanding of pertinent CARs regulations and standards
- Understanding of AMS inventory program
- Familiar with MSM, Mfg's AMM's and Car's 625
- Must be able to obtain a Restricted Area Identification Card
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Proficient with computer programs such (Web, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Proven organizational and multitasking skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Must be a good communicator, written and oral Ability to work in a fast paced environment
