THE TEAM Our Ground Transportation and Parking team is responsible for providing our customers with the most efficient, reliable and wide range of transportation and parking options at YYC Calgary International Airport. Our parking facilities and curbside operations are often the first and last touch point for our arriving and departing customers and we are passionate and committed in providing a positive and remarkable guest experience. In this fast paced environment, the team is agile and focused on the delivery of operational excellence.
WHAT YOU WILL DO Reporting to the Manager, Ground Transportation, this position is responsible for supporting the Parking & Ground Transportation Operations team by working closely with The Calgary Airport Authority and its internal an external customers.
Some of the key tasks will include:
- Update, track, and monitor over 160 commercial vehicle agreements and 10 Ground Transportation counter agreements, and over 200 transportation companies. In addition you will work with the Manger GT to issue, amend or execute agreements when required.
- Issue, register and track all commercial vehicles with an Automated Vehicle Identification device (AVI) for the purpose of tracking trips and revenue control
- Conduct month end billing processes (crediting trip/invoices, approving manually billed trip entries, sending to accounts receivable and mailing out trip reports where required)
- Review and audit Ground Transportation cash flow received during the month
- Compile and update data from CVRCS and the Parking Revenue Control System to produce effective reports and statistics for the department
- Request purchase orders and warehouse orders through the procurement system for items such as signage, traffic and general office supplies
- Compile letters and notices to customers, making website changes to yyc.com, producing change memos and replying to comment cards
- Provide back-up coverage for the Parking Coordinator to include but not limited to daily break coverage, sick day, and holiday coverage; as required. This is a customer facing role acting as a parking representative for all airport employees, tenants and contractors.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Strong organizational skills, customer service centric and the ability to work flexibly in a dynamic environment
- Possess strong communication skills to effectively and professionally work with multiple stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Advanced PC skills including knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Outlook.
- Must have and maintain a Valid Class 5 Motor Vehicle License
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)
WHAT ELSE?
- Knowledge of the Commercial Vehicle Revenue Control System (CVRCS), the Point-of-Sale (POS) financial machine, the Airpark machine and Endura security cameras would be an asset.
- Knowledge of Budgeting & Accounting (Financial Statements, Record Keeping)
- Knowledge of the terminal and surrounding area including roadways, parking lots plus knowledge of tenant space development would be an asset
