Three full-time positions - Pickle Lake, ON
Wage: $15.79 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Base Manager, the Apprentice Pilot will perform tasks related to aircraft loading and unloading, assist with shipping and receiving tasks, operate a variety of equipment including snow removal equipment and aircraft towing equipment as required.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Perform aircraft baggage and cargo loading and unloading functions as assigned
2. Perform and uphold Wasaya’s Customer Care Commitments to both internal and external customers
3. Assist flight crew with off-loads at various aircraft destinations as assigned.
4. Assist with warehouse and shipping & receiving tasks as required
5. Perform aircraft towing and ramp positioning of aircraft and ramp GSE as assigned
6. Operate Fork lift truck, snow removal equipment, aircraft de-icing equipment
7. Ensure that all safety policies and procedures are adhered too
8. Report defects found with allocated GSE or Ramp/Warehouse Supervisor
9. Any other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
• Possess a minimum of commercial pilot’s license with a group 1 instrument rating
• 200 Total Time
• Group 1/3
• CPL
• Valid class “G” license 
Skills/Abilities:
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision
• Proven mechanical abilities
• Ability to work independently in a busy environment
• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Able to work well under pressure
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
Assets:
• Ability to communicate in Oji-Cree or Ojibway
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs; Repetitively
• Manual dexterity
