We have a permanent, full-time opportunity for a Senior Operations Analyst in the Airport Operations Department. Reporting to the Manager, Terminal Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for terminal operational processes to ensure they are functioning as planned and capturing any business changes that impact these processes. This role is a key advocate and facilitator for operational information exchange.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying, analyzing, understanding and documenting terminal operational processes and business requirements – forming the basis of an operational plan
- Ensuring training and relevant documentation is available to operational teams so that they are equipped to manage issues in real time
- Identifying and implementing efficiencies and process improvements which may pertain to: staffing, technology/automation, passenger flow and regulatory changes, by working with other process owners and stakeholders
- Initiating new process evaluation and providing subject matter expertise on new processes and process changes required by facility or passenger routing changes
- Effectively communicating to all stakeholders to ensure processes are understood and addressing issues as required
- Utilizing business intelligence tools and other data sources to support operational decision making and program development
- Providing project management expertise and leadership
- Additional duties as the operation dictates and changes
Key qualifications include:
- Minimum five years’ experience working in an operational, process-oriented environment, supplemented by a bachelor’s degree in Business or related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- Knowledge or experience with time and motion studies and/or queuing theory is an asset
- Proven ability to work and make decisions in a complex, technical environment with minimal supervision
- Ability to diplomatically lead meetings and workshops with stakeholders that may have differing opinions
- Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills to assess and review operational and process flows, demand, constraints and partner requirements
- Experience working with multiple levels of internal and stakeholder groups
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
