Reporting to the Manager, Life Cycle Management, the Regional Compliance Advisor is responsible for scheduling, coordinating and performing screening equipment and conveyor system programming logic compliance tests, troubleshooting and reporting, to ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
The key responsibilities include:
Coordinate and physically perform compliance testing on CATSA screening equipment and Hold Baggage Screening (HBS) systems to ensure adherence to regulations and configuration specs.
Report test results to management, recommend changes to address non-compliant issues and operational deficiencies.
Monitor all ongoing expenditures relative to automated system compliance audits and provide reports to management.
Participate in ongoing scheduling and budgeting discussions for the team, including facilitation of purchase orders, contracts, and invoicing for contractors.
Write test reports and change requests.
Support testing of the new HBS systems as part of CATSA’s recapitalization program.
Liaise with key airport stakeholders for change requests for system alterations and for scheduling automated system compliance audits and system tests to ensure efficiency of processes and activities.
What you need to succeed:
To qualify for this position, you must have:
Graduation from a recognized college or university with specialization in Technology, Engineering, or another specialty relevant to the duties of the position;
A minimum of four (4) years of experience in functionality verification, audits, system tests, and quality control;
Equipment installation, commissioning, or maintenance experience;
Experience monitoring and reporting on equipment and system functionality;
Knowledge of project management tools and methods.

Specific work requirements
Ability to work overtime as required;
Ability to travel frequently;
Ability to work fluctuating hours including night shifts;
Ability to work in an industrial environment where there may be exposure to dust, noise, and proximity to machinery hazards;
Ability to perform various physical body movements such as sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, stooping, squatting, twisting upper body, climbing, balancing, pulling and lifting;
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance;
Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
