Training Manager - Toronto Pearson Airport

JOB OVERVIEW
The Training Managaer is responsible for managing all aspects of the training delivered by the department. The TM oversees the Training Team Leaders (TTL). The TM will assist in the development and prioritization of delivery of all training programs to meet both client and GardaWorld’s internal expectations. The TM will also monitor and oversee the billing and administrative aspects of the training department.TASKS AND DUTIES
ADMINISTRATION
  • CATSA point of contact for all Training Team Leader or scheduling of training concerns
  • Forecasting and identifying any training requirements
  • Attend forecasting meetings with CATSA and any other stakeholders
  • Regularly attending and participating in the SOF Course to provide oversight of Training Associates, Coordination staff
SUPERVISION
  • Ensuring all training is scheduled and completed in a timely fashion
  • Assisting staff in any areas of concern
  • Being readily available to assist staff when there is a heavy workload
  • Provide reports on the status of all active training
  • Other duties as required
EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED
  • >University degree or equivalent in Business Management and/or Human Resource Management;
  • 2 year of management experience is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook, in particular)
  • Knowledge and understanding of Collective Agreements
  • Excellent written, verbal and communication skills
  • Ability to excel in stressful situations
  • Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • 2 years of experience in a unionized environment is an asset
  • Bilingual in English and French is an asset
  • Familiarity with internal systems, such as GSKED and CATSA’s LMS system is an asset
