The Manager, Scheduled Services Training & Standards is responsible for the development and maintenance of standards, the development and delivery of training curriculum, the record keeping of required and completed training, and regulatory compliance for Airports & Cargo. Oversight also includes Charter related operations as applicable.
Actively participate in the Company’s Safety Management System (SMS) program and
demonstrate knowledge of employee responsibilities regarding safety
Maintain excellent knowledge of Canadian North’s SMS and investigate applicable reports when assigned
Hold the designation and responsibilities of the Alternate Company Security Officer (ACSO) and oversee the responsibilities of the Cargo Security Coordinator (CSC) as defined in the respective regulations
Lead the Supervisors of Customer Service Training & Standards, Ground Operations Training & Standards and Cargo Training & Standards
Ensure that regulatory and procedural compliance relative to Airports & Cargo operations is maintained at all times. This includes but is not limited to; Air Cargo Security, Occupational Health & Safety, Transport Canada and adherence to the Ramp Services and Cargo Procedures manuals
Responsible for quarterly regulatory review for Airports & Cargo, and execute updates as they pertain to regulatory compliance
Ensure that all contractual security requirements are adhered to and met to ensure
ongoing compliance and continual improvement
o E.g. Reliability Status, facility security requirements, subcontractor security
and safety requirements
Develop, maintain and continuously improve the Airports & Cargo standards and related manuals, to ensure operational effectiveness and regulatory compliance
Develop, maintain and continuously improve the Airports & Cargo training curriculum, including facilitated and online training, to ensure operational effectiveness and regulatory compliance
Identify, assign and maintain records of all required and completed training, for Airports & Cargo employees and contractors, as well as for Charter operations contractors
Responsible for the scheduling and supervision of audits to ensure compliance with regulations and standard operating procedures
Communicate Airports & Cargo procedural revisions to all operational departments as applicable (Safety, Flight Ops, Inflight, etc)
Liaise with the Manager, Deicing & Ground Service Equipment for all deicing, potable water and equipment related processes and training
Oversee Airports & Cargo related setup, processes, training and regulatory compliance for Charter operations
Assist with the assignment of support staff, such as loadmaster, logistics, etc, for any Scheduled Service and Charter activity as required
