Position Summary

BCIT’S School of Transportation’s Aviation Operations team has permanent 50 % instructional position
in the Airport Operations and Airline and Flight Operations Fixed and Rotary
Wing program area at the Aerospace and Technology campus in Richmond. The
programme curriculum includes courses in the following areas:
- ·
Foundation Skills including communication,
leadership, project management and teamwork skills and technical writing
- ·
Aviation Operations
- ·
Aviation Safety and Emergency Response
- ·
Aviation Business and Management
- ·
Part Time Studies courses
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities
will include curriculum development and enhancement and course
delivery/instruction within the program area.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- ·
A minimum of a diploma or higher education in
the areas of Business Administration, Adult Education, and/or related aviation
programs.
- ·
Five years’ or more of experience in aviation
management and/or operations
- ·
Strong organizational, interpersonal and
communication skills
- ·
Competent with various technology including
but not limited to Outlook, Desire to Learn and other forms of institute
technology
- ·
A minimum of five year’s in developing and
delivering course material both on line and face to face within a post
secondary institution is an asset
- ·
Proven track record of working collaboratively
and collegially with faculty and staff
