Administrator Flight Operations
Skills and Qualifications
Include, but not limited to, the following minimum skills and qualifications:
- Post Secondary Education (2 years);
- Two (2) years of previous experience;
- Experience in a Flight Operations department an asset;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications;
- Knowledge of EFB requirements and regulations considered an asset;
- Knowledge of AIMS, Comply365, Jeppesen FDPro considered an asset;
- Good knowledge of Apple iPad and iOS systems;
- Working knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations as it applies to Airline Operations;
- Proven project management skills and abilities;
- Superior organizational, interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to accomplish multiple tasks, organize priorities with demanding deadlines while providing support to staff;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Ability to work independently;
- Ability to communicate in Inuktut a definite asset;
- Ability to obtain and retain an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada.
Duties and Responsibilities
Interested candidates should be able to perform the following duties and responsibilities:
- Maintain Flight Crew and Flight Attendant training records. This includes data entry, electronic scanning, filing, submission of check rides to Transport Canada and payment of applicable fees;
- Generate reports and warnings to monitor training compliances and issue reminders to Flight Crew Members;
- Distribute copies of Training Summaries to flight instructors/check pilots each month as dictated by training schedules;
- Coordinate TSA clearances for flight training conducted in the United States, both for initial and recurrent phases;
- Liaise with Crew Planners, First Air Training Centre, and simulator training providers for initial and recurrent training requirements;
- Provide back up to Flight Operations Engineer to update data bases for Elementary Work Practical training;
- Contribute to and work directly with Flight Operations Management on all Flight Operations related issues, including daily departmental functions, distribution of pilot memos, updating Document Manager, research and coordination of departmental manual amendments, minutes of meetings, participate in Company audits, etc.;
- Assist Chief Pilots with Flight Crew Member recruitment including telephone screening, coordination of interviews, travel/hotel arrangements for interview candidates, reference checks, etc.;
- Provide guidance to new hire employees with regard to company E-mail addresses, document requirements, RAIC clearances, memo procedures/Document Manager, TSA clearances, etc.;
- Provide back-up for other Flight Operations staff;
- Assist in the development and implementation of a wide variety of special projects;
- Travel, and other duties as required;
- Ensuring that the hardware conforms to the required specifications and that only Company authorized software is installed;
- Ensuring that only the current version of any application and data packages are installed on the EFB and FA tablet systems;
- Investigating and addressing EFB and FA Tablet system performance issues and application issues;
- Managing the distribution and setup of EFB and FA tablets for each new -hire class and managing device replacements as required;
- Monitoring compliance of all EFB and FA tablets users in Flight Operations;
- Other duties as assigned.
