Operations Manager, YVR

We are rapidly evolving our business at YVR and we are looking for a seasoned and motivated Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of the YVR Branch. Reporting to the Branch Manager, YVR this role is an exciting opportunity to lead a highly skilled, professional Safety and Security team.
Scope:
- Champion the Securiguard Values ensuring we always do what we say we will.
- Ensure Securiguard Clients receive the highest standard of customer and security services.
- Conduct daily team check-ins with Team Lead and Operations Centre staff to review and prescribe daily tasks
- Provide real-time leadership, direction and support to Operations staff including support staff on the field and oversee the employee review program.
- Conduct daily audits of Operations Reports and Work Orders to ensure accuracy in billing, payroll, and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the Team Lead through coach and performing Quality Assurance Audits, ensuring that all components are recorded for completion or follow-up.
- Oversea the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee and implement updates and changes as well as conducting Toolbox talks and FLRAs, etc..
- Oversight of Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures and implementation.
- Manages processes, schedules, reports through our WinTeam and TrackTik systems.
- Responsible for Key Performance Indicator Metrics and client deliverables.
- Manage and reduce Non-Billable Overtime
- Managing and Interpreting Collective Bargaining Agreements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Labour Management including but not limited to Hiring, Onboarding, Union and Negotiations, employees and discipline.
- Oversight and Implementation of Training programs
- Management and Oversight of the Security Shift Supervisors and Public Safety Officer program
- Management and Oversight of the Access Control Office and deliverables
- Safety and Security Compliance Management
- Locksmith Services Management
- Airline Screening contracts oversight and acquisition
- Oversight of the AVOP Testing Office
Skills & Qualifications
- University Degree and/or College Diploma or certificate in Personnel Management, Business Management, Human Resources
- At least 5 years of experience as a Manager in an operational setting involving the management and supervision of staff
- At least 3 years of experience managing Safety and Security programs.
- Experience in working with a Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Experience in an operational setting involving the management and supervision of a large team
- Strong management and leadership skills together with excellent communication, influencing, negotiating, and business acumen
- Demonstrated attributes in leadership, judgment, decision making, delegation, and interpersonal sensitivity
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, problem-solve using analytical skills
- Experience with writing procedures, drafting reports, preparing business cases and compiling data
- Experience adjusting duty rosters and scheduling to meet shortfalls in staffing levels
