Pacific Coastal Airlines is seeking a permanent full-time Manager Pricing and Revenue Management based near the South Terminal building at the Vancouver International Airport. We are seeking a candidate who has previous experience working in revenue management or pricing in the airline industry. The candidate will be joining the Commercial Services department and will be working with a core team to ensure Pacific Coastal Airlines achieves revenue targets. The position will report to the Vice President of Commercial Services.
The Manager Pricing and Revenue Management leads the Revenue Management team in implementing Pacific Coastal Airlines pricing strategies and revenue management system. They seek to maximize total revenue across the network by evaluating and adjusting pricing strategies and by creating models and reports that assist the team in finding areas of improvement for our fare, ancillary and cargo products. The position will also be responsible for managing various commercial projects to help improve the organization and increase revenue.
Pacific Coastal Airlines is headquartered near the South Terminal building at Vancouver International Airport. We provide scheduled flight service to 18 airports in British Columbia and offer charter and cargo services. Pacific Coastal is also the proud operator of WestJet Link, providing service from its base in Calgary to Cranbrook, Lethbridge, Lloydminster, and Medicine Hat.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Revenue Optimization continuous review of demand, sales, booking patterns and remaining available capacity throughout our network and seek ways to optimize the remaining capacity to maximize revenue
- Fare Management create and implement fare management strategy and tactics for all markets using revenue management software (i.e. Infare & Aviator) to automate tasks and protect revenue, adjusting optimization rules as needed depending on market changes
- Pricing create, modify and adjust fare pricing, ancillary pricing and cargo pricing based on data-driven evaluation of market performance, competitive environment, and fare usage as well as approving promo code discounts and determining various promotions aimed at increasing revenue
- Market Strategy continuously review all of our market strategies and seek to improve the strategy as market conditions change or as internal opportunities are presented
- Ancillary Revenue monitor the financial performance of ancillary revenue and manage the strategic planning and development of new ancillary revenue products
- Forecasting Demand using revenue management software and monitoring competitor changes, forecast demand well in advance of travel to measure advanced bookings to make business decisions for our commercial schedule through flight frequency and capacity adjustments
- Management of Revenue Budget responsible for the continuous updating of the Revenue Budget file for fare, ancillary and cargo products, adjusting the file as required as market conditions change
- Capacity Management seek to maximize our ROI though monitoring the need for extra sections, cancelling flights due to lack of demand, and advanced schedule planning for the correct frequency and gauge of equipment on various routes
- Revenue Management Software responsible for the management and user training of optimizer software (Aviator & Infare) to ensure system remains operational (audit data exports/imports between AmeliaRES, Aviator and Infare) and to remain informed of software enhancements and updates
- Monthly Revenue Reports complete monthly revenue reports: AC Model STATs, TRASM, Ancillary & Cargo
- Report Development & Analysis strive for continuous improvement of our revenue reports and complete various revenue analysis reports as required
- Scheduling Creation participate in Commercial Scheduling Committee meetings making recommendations to improve and optimize revenue from our commercial schedule
- Management Duties responsible for the supervision, coaching, development, and ultimately performance of all direct reports. Establish individual leadership development plans for each employee. Conduct periodic and annual performance evaluations for all direct reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Business or related study
- 3+ years' experience in a revenue management environment and/or pricing strategy position in the airline industry
- Management or leadership experience is strongly preferred
- Understanding of airline GDS, reservation software (AmeliaRES) and revenue optimization software (Aviator and Infare) preferred
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Intermediate to advanced level of MS Excel
- Well versed in revenue management software applications (will be using AmeliaRES, Aviator, and Infare)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with individuals and teams at all levels in the organization
- Must be able to accurately analyze reports and make quick decisions to improve revenue performance
- Must be able to effectively convey market level strategy decisions and results to the team
- High performance orientation, ability to work well under pressure, prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- Self-starter must have a positive attitude and strong desire for success
- Complete projects on time with minimal supervision, ability to work varied hours when necessary to meet deadlines
