According to Sandra Stoddart Hansen of BCAC, you have YVR invite the British Columbia Aviation Council (BCAC) to do some 50/50 fundraising at the ever-popular annual Koffee Klatch golf tournament, and add outstanding BCIT student volunteers to sell the tickets.
With ingenuity, networking skills and sheer determination, the six intrepid student volunteers Bill Klompas, Cole Schneider, Trevor Bertoia, Robert Koehler, Kaitlin McDougal and Jared Bennett, sold "wingspans" of tickets to the golfers raising over $1,500 in ticket sales. With the $775 going to the BCAC Scholarship fund and another $250 in cash donations, the tournament raised $1,025 for the BCAC Scholarship fund.
Congratulations and thank you to the tournament organizers, participants, and volunteers for the outstanding support of the BCIT aviation students. The hard-working BCAC golf team is pictured above: Sandra Stoddart-Hansen, Mark Iverton, Chris Lithgoe and Mike Matthews.
