Did you know that the BCIT Student Association, through the Uconnect Resource Centre, provides many students with financial support (up to $500) to be involved in an educational/ professional development?
Funding is available for initiatives that focus on professional development such as, but not limited to:
* Public speaking
* Leadership training
* Industry best practices
* Sustainability practices
* Communication skills
* Time management
* Diversity issues
* Effective team work
* Managing volunteers
* First aid (as it pertains to industry standards)
This is a great opportunity for students who have an upcoming conference, course, workshop or other opportunity that they would like to attend & that having some financial support will make their hope a reality.
The deadline for the Student Initiative Fund is April 15, 2010.
The application is available off the BCITSA website.
