Dan Martens - Career Up-date

Dan Martens, pictured left at the BCIT Information day in April, graduated from the inaugural class of the Airline and Flight Operations program in December of 2003. We asked Dan how his career has taken off since graduation.

Dan tells us, "Promptly, after graduation, I started my instructor rating and soon, a job at Pacific Flying Club. This is where I stayed till the winter of 2006 when I got a job at Pacific Coastal Airlines as a first officer on the Beechcraft 1900. Flying the 1900 gave me enough experience to return to the flying club and run the multi engine program. Since then I have become a class 1 flight instructor and a pilot examiner. In my current position I take care of the multi engine, instrument and multi crew portions of the BCIT program. I have come full circle and found my passion, I once was a BCIT student and now I teach BCIT students, isn’t life grand?"
