Along with the support BCAC provides BCIT Aviation students in terms of scholarships and bursaries, they also provide many opportunities for students to network and enhance learning through workshops and networking events at nominal costs, because students also receive free membership to BCAC while they are students and for the year following graduation.

This year, the BCAC workshop on October 27 focused on sustainable airports. The morning workshop featured panels of guest speakers from a variety of airports - large and small - who discussed challenges and opportunities facing airports now and in the future. Over lunch, key-note speaker Solomon Wong from Intervistas provided food for thought with little-known, but important statistics and interpretations that will impact our industry. In the afternoon, AVAO Class 13 & 15 participated in discussions affecting airports such as revenue generation and policy.
