Mike Geaman from Airline and Flight Operations Class 7 has sent along this great update:
At Arctic Sunwest Charters, Rebecca Wong is on the Kingair 100, Brennan Steemers is on the Beech 99 and myself on the PA-31 Navajo, all 3 of us are in training right now actually. So it took between 1 year and 2 months for myself and 1 year and 8 months for Brennan to get on a plane.
At Air Tindi, Daniel Montgomery and Kevin Wang are really close to flying, probably by the end of the year they should be in a plane. Twin otter for Daniel and Kingair for Kevin. Also Evan Wooldridge and Robert Koehler have also joined Air Tindi this year so they are in line to fly as well.
At North Wright in Norman Wells, Sandy Henderson is flying Twin Otters and C-172 and he is getting good time up there too.
At Summit Air, Jonny Tena is building a lot of hours, he is actually preparing to write his ATPL exam and he might be going to Africa to fly the Dornier for a UN contract, probably be in December.
At Sunwest in Calgary Jason Hopcraft is also flying Navajos now too and building good time.
We have even more BCIT students up here now then we did last year, which makes it that much easier to have so many people to hang out with and support each other. I hope that the BCIT classes after us are doing well.
Mike
