Job Description:
FUNCTION: Reporting to the Director, Safety, this position supports the safety program at Porter Airlines through responsibility for its daily administrative duties. This includes but is not limited to the facilitation, administration and tracking of all safety incidents and hazards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and revise the technical library hard copy and soft copy, AMM, AICP, SRM, FIM, L-Check, A-Check, C-Check as required, etc.
- Ensuring timely and accurate administration of Offers of Employment
- Responsible for ensuring the completeness and organization of new hire paperwork upon completion of orientation
- Composition of correspondence from brief instructions
- Administration of employee photo identification
- Responsible for the administration of parking
- Organizing and maintaining the Human Resources filing system; ensuring accuracy and completeness of confidential personnel files and employee records; as well as filing and retrieving documents as necessary
- Updating employee records, creating and revising any reports when necessary
- Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two years’ experience working in a technical library and amending manuals
- Familiarity with commercial flight operations and/or aircraft maintenance operations
- Knowledge of safety management systems and/or occupational health and safety requirements
- Flexibility; excellent time management, written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and internet applications
- Excellent organizational skills and an attention to detail
- Ability to secure restricted airport security clearance
- A passport is required; some travel is involved
- Must be able to obtain and hold all required security clearances
