We are currently looking for a Supervisor, Baggage to add to our dynamic team located at the Pierre Elliot Trudeau International Airport.  (Reference CJ606)

The Supervisor, Baggage Handling will be responsible for the resolution of baggage issues and complaints concerning CanJet delayed, damages, lost and pilferage baggage, procedures, and programs.
 
Job Description:
  • Implement and facilitate the 'World Tracer' program
  • Liaison with CanJet training department to relate all baggage procedures
  • Participate in the development of Training manuals for baggage procedures.
  • Respond to and resolve passenger complaints lodged via email, website, telephone, and fax and written letters concerning baggage issues.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to the all our stations regarding baggage issues
  • Participate in quality assurance monitoring of the Passenger baggage handling.
  • Authorize and issue bank drafts to customers for lost, delayed or damaged luggage.
  • Communicate with various departments within the CanJet network concerning baggage issues as necessary.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of CanJet policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Create and maintain a database for the tracking of passenger baggage issues.
  • Weekly reports summarizing Company baggage issues/outcomes
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Job qualifications:
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an airline customer service role.
  • Fluency in both of Canada's official languages is a must.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; above average oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
  • Excellent customer service skills & administrative capabilities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel/Word).
  • Basic knowledge of 'World Tracer' is required
  • Ability to correspond in Spanish is considered an asset
**This position will require irregular hours including nights and weekends**
