Senior Reservation & Ticketing Airport Agent
 
The job holder should be able to provide quality service to passengers in respect to check-in, confirming reservations for passengers, Sells & Serve customers professionally in person in order to achieve customer satisfaction, boarding, special services, lounges, airport hotel and baggage services as per company's commercial and safety standards and procedures ensuring passengers and their baggage are handled in a consistent and efficient manner.  Ensure Premium Passengers receive total quality service.
Accountabilities:
  • Constant liaison with Check-in, Transfer Desk, and other related areas for the smooth , acceptance of passengers.
  • Arrange reservations and routing for passengers, and proper issuance of ATB for all types of ticketing transactions.
  • Liaises with check-in, transfer desk, and support Airport Services Supervisors in all areas.
  • Escort and direct Arriving/Departing passengers to the respective areas such as Hotel Desk, Visa Counter, Transfer Desk, Premium Lounges, and Boarding Gates etc.
  • Liason with GHA for quick processing of hotel and transfer passengers
  • Work with GHA and ensure smooth passenger handling
  • Assist Passengers in regard to Entry Requirements, Visas, Residence Permits etc.
  • Ensure pasenges are assisted smoothly through airport facilities
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
  • Types requested flight number on keyboard of online computer reservation system and scans screen to determine space availability.
  • Makes and confirms reservations for passengers.
  • Assist mishandled passengers such as NOREC/DNB to reduce passenger complains.
  • Issue tickets and PTAs quoting correct fare to reduce passenger complaints and debit notes.
  • Advise load control personnel and other stations of changes in passenger itinerary to control space and ensure utilization of seating capacity on flights.
  • Control cash flow to ensure that the sales report is closed on time.
  • Initiate and promote QR product to generate the revenue.?
  • Assigns specified space to customers and maintains computerized inventory of passenger space available. Inform customers on alternate options available
Management and Leadership:  Oversee and supervise GHA staff to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Development:
  • Assist in the response to any emergency or a major operational disruption affecting Qatar Airways or its subsidiaries, including support of the Qatar Airways Special Assistance Program.
  • Take responsibility for own ongoing personal development and growth of expertise
  • Advise of changes in flight plan or to cancel or confirm reservation.
  • Train and develop other employees, for proper succession planning and risk management.
  • Isuance of MCO's and refunds, process lost tickets and time barred tickets.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as requested by Management.
Essential Qualifications:
  • High school qualifications
  • Customer Service Minded
  • Dangerous Goods certificated

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certiificate in computer applications preferred
Essential Previous Experience: minimum 2 years of job-related experience required
Preferred Experience:
  • Ticketing knowledge.
  • IATA or airline Basic Tariff and Pricing Course.
  • Qatar Airways in-house Computer Reservation and Ticketing (e.g. Amadeus) for internal candidates.
  • High potential individual willing to be trained / learned.
Job Specific Skills:
