Job Description
FUNCTION: Reporting to the Director, Safety, this position supports the safety program at Porter Airlines through responsibility for its daily administrative duties. This includes but is not limited to the facilitation, administration and tracking of all safety incidents and hazards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Enter details of new employees into the company record-keeping system
• Maintain employee SMS and health and safety training records
• Ensure SMS information boards are kept current and applicable
• Conduct follow-up with departmental safety assurance managers (DSAMs) regarding the progress and completion of their investigations, causal analysis, implementation of corrective action, and audits related to safety
• Assist the documentation of safety investigations and audits
• Provide technical assistance for company record-keeping system
• Assist in safety data collection and trend analysis as required
• Occasional participation in safety investigations and audits
• Maintain the confidentiality of organizational safety reporting systems
• Participate in periodic departmental safety meetings
• Provide administrative emergency response support as required
• Any other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Familiarity with commercial flight operations and/or aircraft maintenance operations
• Knowledge of safety management systems and/or occupational health and safety requirements
• Flexibility; excellent time management, written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and internet applications
• Excellent organizational skills and an attention to detail
• Ability to secure restricted airport security clearance
• A passport is required; some travel is involved
