The winners of these prestigious awards for Airlines and flight Operations (Commercial Pilot) are:

  • Jamie Ho, who was awarded the Geoff Smulders Memorial Scholarship.  This scholarship is the benefit of an endowment established by the family and friends of Geoff Smulders who was working as a pilot for Nav Air Charter Inc.
  • Terence Prins was awarded the Hong Mar Memorial Award. This scholarship was established in 2012 in memory of Hong Mar, one of Canada's pioneering bush pilots by Dr Yosef Wosk and the family and friend of Mr. Mar.
  • Boris Wu earned the Peter Shewring Memorial Award.  This scholarship was established by the family, friends and colleagues of Canadian aviation icon, Peter Shewring.  Peter had a love of flying and a passion for the aviation industry.  He taught, mentored and inspired thousands of pilots in the Canadian Flying community for over 30 years.
