Service Delivery Manager
Airport Terminal Services - Vancouver, BC
SUMMARY : Effective delivery of quality customer service, safety standards and On Time Performance through the appropriate co-ordination, decision making, communication and prioritization of resources and tasks. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 
  • Reports directly to the Account Manager.
  • Ensure daily operations are performed safely, securely, efficiently and punctually and in accordance with all relevant procedures and policies and ensures compliance.
  • Manage the above and below wing daily operation, being the key contact for all operational issues.
  • Manage and monitor departmental objectives related to Airport Operations.
  • Responsible for the security of company funds, supplies and equipment
  • Ensure all operational issues are handled in an appropriate and timely manner during regular and irregular operations.
  • Lead from the front in disruption, ensuring all team are clear on actions to be taken to mitigate negative impact on customers.
  • Manage and assist all staff to ensure that duties are covered and that there is always sufficient staff to run the operation.
  • Lead effective briefings to ensure staff focused and aware of daily opportunities and challenges each shift.
  • Motivate and empower airport team and encourage personal development.
  • Provide a stimulating environment in which the staff feels motivated to give excellent customer service.
  • Involved in staff placement.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Three years’ progressive management experience including customer service, ground handling of commercial aircraft, or Bachelor's Degree in business.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and provide a clean driver’s abstract.
  • Must be able to obtain airport security clearance which includes an extensive check of your last 5 years of employment, criminal record and residence history.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Must be able to stand, lift, bend, push and pull for extended periods of time.
  • Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather and elevated noise levels within the airport environment.
BACKGROUND QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Extensive knowledge of all applicable Transport Canada, CATSA, FAA, Labour Canada & WCB Regulations.
  • Knowledge of wide and / or narrow body aircraft handling.
  • Strong communication skills to converse professionally with customers and employees are ideal.
  • Computer skills required.
  • Experience in working within a unionized environment is an asset.

LOCATION/SPECIFIC WORKING HOURS: 
  • This is a temporary position for the months May – October .
  • Must be able to work extended hours on short notice during non-routine operations.
  • Some travel required
  • Must be flexible to work various shifts, weekends, or irregular shifts
