SUMMARY: Provides the key communication link between the customer and ramp operational teams, monitors all operational activities to ensure delivery of customer service level agreements, provides up to date information and instructions to the operational teams and customer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensures a safe work environment by following all ATS rules and regulations regarding the workplace
- Provides the operations communication interface between ramp operations and the customer
- Monitors all flight activity, records and updates daily flight records with key information, liaisons with all outside vendors including catering, fueling and maintenance
- Principle air to ground communicator
- Communicates all relevant activity and flight information to the ramp operational teams
- Coordinates all towing activity
- Obtains and tracks gate activity including all changes
- Accountable for monitoring operational performance
- Maintains service level agreements (SLA) statistics
- Records and provides daily performance statistics
- Works closely with duty manager and ramp supervisor to ensure resources are allocated accordingly to meet operational demands
- Provides information that can improve and enhance the operational process and performance.
- Liaise with TCO & CLC with final passenger, cargo, fuel, catering and bag totals to ensure aircraft is cleared for departure.
- Other duties and requirements as necessary
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED
- Must be able to obtain airport security clearance which includes an extensive check of your last 5 years of employment criminal record and residence history
- Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean Driving Abstract
PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to lift up to at least 32kg
- Work outside in all types of weather
BACKGROUND QUALIFICATIONS:
- One year operational experience is preferred
- Ability to manage and direct staffs to tasks- good communication skills both written & verbal are essential
- Experienced in decision making and performance management
- Strong computer and math skills required
LOCATION/SPECIFIC WORKING HOURS:
- Vancouver International Airport
- Specific shift to be determined
- Must be flexible to work various shifts and days
- Must be able to work extended hours on short notice during non-routine operations
