Sky Regional is currently recruiting a Crew Scheduler
Job Summary
The Crew Scheduler coordinates and disseminates information concerning the planning and tracking of flight crews within the airline operations team.
Major Responsibilities:
• Responsible for day of operation crew tracking for both pilots and flight attendants including formulating recovery plans to ensure coverage of all flights operated by the airline.
• Monitor all pilot and flight attendant activity up to the point of departure from home base including managing day of operations, next day open time flying and crew availability for the rest of the month.
• Responsible for the for assigning /awarding of all pilot and flight attendant open flights
• Administering all planned and irregular crew hotel and ground transportation requirements.
• Responsible for reconciling and auditing crew activity for pay purposes as well as handling pay queries.
• Responsible for the building of and optimization of monthly allocated trips pairings within the Crew Planning function.
• Responsible for assigning/awarding monthly bids for pilots and flight attendants including monthly manning requirements to cover planned absences.
• Analyze operational conditions and identify opportunities that may benefit, constrain or impede operational capabilities.
• Other duties assigned and/or department specific.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Must be a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant.
• Must be minimum 21 years of age as required by Transport Canada.
• Demonstrated good working knowledge of general computer and software applications.
• Demonstrated success in multi-tasking during high stress situations with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast paced dynamic environment.
• Flexible with the ability to work shift work.
• Demonstrated excellence in prioritizing and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated excellence in communication skills including ability to communicate in a clear, accurate, concise and professional manner.
• At least two (2) years crew scheduling experience in an aviation environment
