Part Time Shift Lead – Thunder Bay

While working Check In, Arrivals, or Departures areas of the airport the Shift Lead will:

•Complete a shift summary report, including MSOL notes
•Facilitate ongoing daily operational briefings and communication with Agents
•Complete Incident / Accidents investigations and reports in accordance with WestJet and Airports procedures with support from the Station Manager
•Complete WCB forms as appropriate, with support from the Station Manager
•Inventory, monitor and restock materials for each area
•Monitor breaks and manpower allocation in their work area and liaise with SST to ensure optimum coverage
•Move manpower as required based on flight loads, turnaround time to maximize safety and OTP
•Provide technical mentorship for Agents as required
•Provide technical support and direction for Agents
•Reinforce uniform guidelines
•Provide Agents with performance feedback using WestJet's values and interpersonal philosophy
•Respond to IT failures and address accordingly (Kiosks, printers, systems down, CUTE etc.)
•Respond to Unruly Guests in accordance with WestJet procedures
•Support agents during peak seasons and irregular operations by actively participating in the operation

Qualifications:

•1 years airline operational experience.
•Baggage Service experience is an asset.
•Demonstrated ability to live the WestJet values and provide constructive feedback to others
•Demonstrated ability to transfer job knowledge to co-workers
•Demonstrated ability to use MS office programs such as email, word, excel
•Demonstrated ability to make operational decisions in time sensitive situations
•Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional guest service
•Irregular Operations Contact experience and asset
