Flair Airlines is a charter airline providing customized charter service to a variety of markets including workforce transportation, niche tours and special charters. 

Our head office is located in Kelowna, BC and we have bases in Calgary, AB and Eastern Canada.

We are currently recruiting a full-time Manager, Operations Coordination Centre to join our team in Kelowna, BC.

The Manager, Operations Coordination Centre is responsible for the day-to-day Flight Operations duties as set out by the Director of Flight Operations (DFO). The environment is fast paced and the successful incumbent will be required to operate with tight deadlines, critical tasks, and variable shift work based on a 24/7 operation, from time to time.


Primary Responsibilities
• Provide day to day management of the Operations Coordination and Scheduling teams to ensure that the operations coordination department is running efficiently and effectively by:
o Coordinating ongoing training and development of direct reports;
o Providing coaching and feedback to employees, addressing employee performance issues and conducting performance partnership plans;
o Create and maintain operations staff schedules; ensuring they meet operational requirements and the quarterly averaging agreement;
o Approval of monthly timesheets, sick and vacation requests;
o Conducting recruitment and selection activities for new hires when required;
o Supporting employees in conflict resolution;
o Supporting employees in effective team interaction; 
o Contribute to the development and maintenance of a positive work environment; and
o Liaise with Human Resources as required.
• Manage the Crew and Aircraft Scheduling Program (Merlot).
• Liaise with Dispatch, Commercial Operations, Maintenance Control Centre (MCC) and external clients as required to ensure overall operational coordination.
• Manage the Company and Aircraft Security Program.
• Liaise with all Management Team Members to create contingency operating plans during Irregular Operations (IROPS).

Required Qualifications, Education and Competencies
• Previous experience that would demonstrate the ability to fulfill all of the requirements of the role.
• Previous experience working in an operations role with a commercial air operator, airport authority or regulatory agency.
• A minimum intermediate level in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), as well as ability to quickly learn a variety of specialized software applications (e.g. Merlot, AirWatch, SkyTrac, etc.).
• University/College degree/diploma with a focus in Analysis, Computer Programs, Business Management or Aviation or appropriate combination of education and experience.
• Experience with scheduling software is an asset.
• Knowledge of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and Standards (CASS) is an asset.
• 2nd language skills an asset.
• Pilot, A.M.E. or Dispatcher Licence an asset.
• Demonstrated management and leadership ability.
• Well-developed interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a high stress, fast paced, ever-changing work environment while prioritizing tasks and assignments.
• The ability to evolve a plan in a dynamic, changeable environment within tight timelines. 
• Available to travel if required.

The successful incumbent will be highly organized with a high level of attention to detail. They will possess excellent verbal and written communications combined with the ability to work in a high stress, fast paced work environment while prioritizing tasks and assignments..
