JOB OPPORTUNITY
The Kativik Regional Government (KRG) is a supra-municipal organization with jurisdiction over the territory of Québec located north of the 55th parallel. The KRG is currently seeking to recruit an energetic and motivated candidate to work in Kuujjuaq, in the capacity of:
Coordinator, Transportation Infrastructure Operations
Management position
(Full-time permanent)
Reporting to the Assistant Director of the KRG Transportation Department, the coordinator supervises, implements and participates in duties related to the operation and maintenance of transportation infrastructure in Nunavik. More specifically, the duties and responsibilities of the coordinator include:
· Implement and ensure monitoring of airport emergency plans pursuant to Transport Canada regulations;
· Implement and ensure monitoring of airport wildlife management plans pursuant to Transport Canada regulations;
· Implement and ensure monitoring of airport safety management systems pursuant to Transport Canada regulations;
· Ensure the renewal of radio-operator and weather-observation licenses for observer-communicators;
· Act as a KRG representative for airport infrastructure projects with the Ministère des Transports du Québec and by the KRG;
· Perform regular visits to each community;
· Follow up on employee training and certification programs;
· Manage a remote team of 26 staff.
REQUIREMENTS
· A university degree or equivalent work experience;
· A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience as a coordinator;
· Knowledge of airport environments;
· Good communication and writing skills in at least two of the following languages: Inuktitut, English or French;
· Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software;
· Excellent planning and communication skills and good organization skills;
· Ability to work independently.
This position requires frequent travel within and outside Nunavik.

Salary: Based on the applicable management salary scale
