We are seeking an experienced Dispatcher to support our Summit Air flight operations based in Yellowknife, NT. The Dispatcher is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of Summit flights are in accordance with company procedures, including planning and monitoring of both pre- and post-flight phases. This role oversees the scheduling and dispatching of all Summit aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch all aircraft on a daily basis
• Ensure compliance with company and Transport Canada regulations
• Check flight plans for completeness and accuracy
• Review and maintain flight logs and other reports
• Brief flight crews prior to departure and provide pilots with information essential to aviation safety
• Contact crew prior to flights to ensure awareness of upcoming flight schedule
• Delay or cancel flights as warranted
• Manage and update charter logs, flight and flight duty times, pilot availability reports, and inspection schedules

Requirements

• Previous experience in a dispatching role or similar position required
• Valid Air Operator Radio License considered an asset
• Transport Canada Flight Dispatch Generic Exams an asset
• Analytical and organized, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Proven experience in a fast-paced environment
• Northern experience an asset

Work Conditions

• Must be willing to relocate to Yellowknife, NT
• Shift work will be required
