North Cariboo Air is currently recruiting a permanent full-time SMS Technical Analyst for the Calgary office. 

Job Purpose
The Technical Analyst is responsible for supporting the development, operation and management of compliance with all North Cariboo Air internal policies, procedures and processes necessary to discharge all safety responsibilities. The Analyst will also assist actions to ensure that all external published policies and procedures under Federal Statutes are adhered to, consistent with and representative of good/best practice as part of the continuous improvement process. 

Roles and Responsibilities
- General support role to the Safety Management System administrative activities for the management of all aspects of the safety program;
- Operation of the safety program, under the relevant legislation;
- Management of investigative processes and actively participate in the design of policy documents and procedures necessary for the effective operation of the Safety Management System;
- Prepare both regular monthly and other specific reports, and presentations for management with respect to the safety activities;
- Stakeholder management, including supporting client requirements;
- Quality Assurance Activities;
- Oversight on matters related to Occupational Health and Safety;
- Incidents review, investigation and corrective action plans including follow-up;
- Inspection and audit activities in line with developing legal, safety and technical requirements;
- Support and complete Human Factors Investigations;
- Support and assist in Safety Management general investigations;
- All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Qualify for a RAIC;
- Hold a valid passport;
- A relevant qualification in an industry safety, technical (engineering or equivalent), regulatory or business related discipline;
- Relevant work experience in a regulatory or similar environment;
- A high level knowledge of the aviation regulatory environment, risk management and safety case regimes;
- Good technical and analytical skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Excellent organization and planning skills;
- Self-motivation and possess a drive to succeed;
- Abide by confidentiality standards.

Salary: As per North Cariboo Air Pay Scale
