Our Calgary location is seeking an experienced Vice-President of Airport Operations to support our growing and diverse operations.

Description: 

The Vice President, Airport Operations will be responsible for contributing to the successful operations of Executive Flight Centre’s Airport business. As a member of the Senior Management team they will be an integral part of our airport business and provide the direction and leadership to grow and manage this business for the future.

Responsibilities: 
  • Implement corporate policies and procedures as it relates to the aviation/aerodrome operations.
  • Provide leadership and support to all existing site Managers as it relates to the aviation/aerodrome operations.
  • Develop, implement, maintain and train staff on all EFC’s Ground & Operational Procedures & Standards.
  • Ensure EFC Customer operational standards and procedures are complied with.
  • Ensure all aviation related regulatory and legislative standards are met.
  • Develop Operational Manuals, Procedures, Policies and Training programs to ensure operational and safety compliance.
  • Manage EFC’s Operational Reporting System(s).
  • Manage company Operational Audits and post-audit follow-up.
  • Communicate and work with customers, airport authorities and regulatory agencies to ensure operational procedures and standards are followed by EFC, audited and reported on.
  • Establish performance targets to rectify any operational deficiencies identified.
  • Provide operational coaching as required.
  • Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of the organizations mission.
  • Provide leadership in performing all Aerodrome Services and Airport Operational matters.
  • Execute the expansion of the aviation/aerodrome business, in new and existing markets.
  • Work with the Managers to develop short term and long term goals for the aviation/aerodrome business in concert with corporate objectives.
  • Oversee the development of airport budgets for each site.
  • Provide advice, guidance and direction as it relates to the companies aviation/aerodrome operations.
  • Track airport budgets developed by Executive Flight Centre.
  • Provide guidance and leadership in the management of existing aviation equipment.
  • Approve new aviation equipment purchases and prepare supporting recommendations for the senior team.
  • Work with the senior team to forge growth throughout the company.
  • Lead and support management in aviation projects from an operational standpoint.
  • Help in the planning and coordination of all aviation operational activities through subordinate Managers to ensure tasks are completed.
  • Oversees quality control and aviation training compliance for company-wide aviation/aerodrome operations
  • Manages aviation supplier relationships.
  • Involved in customer sales initiatives and works with Management to facilitate growth in aviation sales.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and a pleasurable client experience.
  • Comply with and participate in the Company’s Health & Safety programs and Quality Systems
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications/Experience: 
  • Technical or business administration degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of aviation experience; including 5 years management/leadership experience.
  • Direct knowledge of aviation services and aerodrome operations.
  • Excellent management, negotiating and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to lead a team and achieve results.
  • Experience in budgeting, project management and operations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Proficient with word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Works well under pressure and makes deadlines.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.
  • Demonstrates relationship building skills.
