G4S has been selected by the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) to secure critical elements of the air transportation system, and for the delivery of airport screening services including passenger, hold baggage and non-passenger screening for Vancouver and the Pacific Region.
We are presently recruiting for the following opportunity: Regional Manager - South Pacific (6 months contract, with possible extension)
This role has full responsibility for the operations at the Abbotsford, Kamloops, Cranbrook, Penticton, and Castlegar Airports, and has eight Service Delivery Managers reporting in.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to): •Responsible for scheduling screeners and managers •Responsible for KPIs to promote efficient service delivery. •Acts as first point for CATSA operational management and other parties at the site •Manages the daily briefings with site specific topics and daily reports •Manages scheduling and administrative tasks to ensure service delivery. •Achieves KPIs and ensures compliance with SOP’s on a daily basis •Monitors service levels and reports on changing needs •Supervises and coaches Service Delivery Managers •Ensures required staffing levels meets service delivery. •Ensures time and attendance tracking is accurate and timely •Assists Service Delivery Managers in dealing with complaints, security incidents, etc •Proactively engages in monitoring the operations, eg: queue length, managing the screening area accordingly, and ensures adequate staffing levels. •Builds and maintains a strong customer relationship with assigned business area Qualifications: •College or University Degree •Minimum five years work-related experience in a Supervisory role, preferably in the Aviation / Security Industry •Demonstrates ability to work effectively with employee groups and builds partnerships at all levels of the organization •Ability to conduct progressive interviews and assign staff duties accordingly •Demonstrated ability to negotiate, facilitation/presentation skills •Ability to use office software programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, pay/invoicing •Understanding of rotational shifts and site schedules and to attend to incidents after hours •Knowledge of relevant security and employment legislation •Client service/consulting skills, strong communication skills •Must be eligible to apply for Federal Secret Security Clearance To apply for this position or to learn more about G4S, please visit our careers website and click on secure solutions at: http://www.g4s.ca./en-ca/Careers/
