Job description
Reporting to the Regional Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Manager in Recruitment will be responsible for recruitment activities in GardaWorld’s regional airports, the qualified candidate possessing strong communication, labor relation, union relation, interpersonal, and organization skills.
Tasks and duties
- Determine recruitment needs in collaboration with Account Directors or Branch Managers
- Develop a proactive recruitment process and establish relationships with a network of partners
- Recruit candidates for present and future needs
- Attract candidates through a series of innovative approaches and make a positive contribution to GardaWorld’s reputation as an employer choice
- Take a big part in the meeting concerning the union and labor relation
- Take part in recruitment meetings run by the National Director
- Represent the recruitment team in the course of job fairs, special events, career days, etc.
- Conduct the candidate-selection process (posting job requisitions, pre-qualifications, analysis, interviews, testing, follow-up, and hiring)
- Conduct pre-hiring checks on references, work permits, various licences etc.
- Open files (signature of hiring documents, union documents, parity committee, taking photos, etc.)
- Provide Operations with support by improving the quality of recruitment, lowering turnover rate and adapting the rate of hiring accordingly
- Expedite any other daily clerical tasks (e.g. data entry, filing, reports)
- Keep up-to-date statistics, employee lists, hours logs and other files according to the particularities of certain clients
- Ability to problem solve, take initiative and be self-motivated while maintaining high standards of accuracy, attention to detail, timeliness and confidentiality.
- Advanced computer literacy especially with Excel
- Excellent analytical problem solving skills to compile, manipulate, and present data in a clean and clear manner.
- Maintain a high standard or quality of recruitment
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and “hit the ground running”.
- Prioritizes work functions and communications to and from the areas of responsibility, and follows through with information to get desired results.
Education and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent experience in recruitment
- Minimum 3 year experience in mass recruitment
- Minimum 3 year experience in and labor relation
- Minimum 3 year experience in union relation
- Advanced familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Good listening skills and sense of analysis
- Experience in security is an asset
Language: bilingual English and French
