Vantage Airport Group is currently recruiting a Manager, Airport Operations, North Peace Regional Airport

The Manager, Airport Operations provides leadership and guidance to the North Peace Airport Services (NPAS) operations and maintenance team to ensure safe, reliable, efficient and effective operation of the North Peace Regional Airport in Fort St. John.



Reporting to the Managing Director, this senior role is responsible for:
 Overseeing and ensuring best practices in the operations of the airport – all property and facilities
 Actively maintaining the airport’s compliance with safety, security and regulatory standards
 Supervising the airport’s operations and maintenance team
 Consistently cultivating a culture of safety and security with all airport staff and tenants
 In conjunction with the Managing Director, leading and managing the development and updating of business plans, budgets and other airport planning documents
 Building strong relationships with both commercial and community stakeholders of the airport
 Working closely with Vantage network colleagues to optimize the development of the airport
This position acts as the Managing Director’s designate in his/her absence. Ability to travel is required.

Experience and Qualities
 5 years in an operations management role, preferably in an aviation or airport setting
 Experience working effectively in a regulated environment
 Practical, credible, reliable operations professional with strong business acumen
 Track record of successfully managing and motivating teams; able to lead training
 Proven experience with long-term planning, meeting targets and achieving safety standards
 Collective bargaining experience an asset
 University degree preferred (Business Administration or Commercial Aviation)
