The WORKFORCE COORDINATOR (WFC) is responsible for managing, assessing and maximizing workforce efficiencies while effectively balancing manpower needs of the Customer Service Agents, Guest Service Ambassador, Baggage Service Agents, Shift Leads, and Guest Service Ambassadors.

Job Description: 
  • Construct work schedule for all Front Line employees (Shift Leads, Customer Service Agents, Guest Service Ambassadors, and Baggage Service Agents) that are in line with averaging agreements and Labour Canada.
  • WFC works on scheduling timelines set by HQ in a 6 week period and ensures schedules are issued consistently and on time according to all domestic bases.
  • Budget and maintain efficient levels of manpower with guidance from the Station Manager and Duty Managers.
  • Make adjustments to schedule to ensure effective coverage for training, vacation, peak periods and flight schedule changes.
  • Work with L&D, Support Service Advisor, Duty Managers, and Station Manager to determine timelines for training initiatives ( i.e. return to work training, recurrent training, base specific training, etc.)
  • Liaise with Station Manager and Duty manager to plan and forecast future staffing needs, trends, and budget requirements for optimal operations coverage.
  • Act as a liaison between Support Services Advisor and Duty Managers to manage schedule changes related to WCB, STD, and modified duties.
  • Initiate suggestions to increase efficiencies, lower costs and increase people happiness. With input from members of management, evaluate and plan manpower for new initiatives.
  • Act as a daily liaison between the Duty Managers, Shift Leads, and Support Services to manage and maintain Agent Status.
  • Develop, input and maintain work rules in Sabre Staff Planner
  • Monitor the shift trade process.
  • Administer Kronos and submit payroll.
  • Administer, monitor and communicate lieu banks for all Full time employees
  • Administer vacation bidding process.
  • Train new agents in the Schedule Bidding processes (LINGO) and Self Service tools (ESS) during base orientation.
  • Effectively manage and track monthly labour costs vs. budget to ensure base is on par.
  • YLW WFC will be responsible to provide additional scheduling support to other stations at the direction of Station Manager and Regional Manager.

Qualifications: 
  • Minimum 1 year airport operations and employee scheduling experience
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service to internal guests
  • Strong communication skills - both written and oral
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and with a high accuracy of work
  • An understanding of Airports Scheduling, Canada Labour Code and Labour Budget practices
  • Proven history of effecting change through influence
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office applications Powerpoint, Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Proven track record in safety awareness
  • Proven track record of maintaining confidentiality
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as operationally required and travel for training
  • Advanced working knowledge of Sabre Schedule applications
