Support Servicers is responsible for supporting the development of our people in alignment with WestJet objectives, culture and values. By working collaboratively with the Airports Leadership & other business units, we will foster & deliver a world class employee experience.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise and support (WCB, OSH, and health and wellness department) for ability management at the YYC airport (modified work agreements, work with employees returning from a leave.)
- Provide a strong knowledge of company policies, compensation, training, performance management and recruitment
- Support Guest Services Manager in coaching agents on performance, uniform adherence, technical ability etc.
- Celebrate successes (kudos, rewards & recognition) & plan base events
- Act as the cultural barometer every day – come up with creative ideas to improve morale when low, and maintain an upward swing
- Chair culture committee
- Communicate and deliver recognition programs promoting WestJet culture
- Provide support to GSM’s & DM’s for any investigative interviews or performance management conversations/documents, Attendance Support Program, WCB, and approved leaves
- Meet with an agent regarding career development (i.e. shadowing at other departments/bases, internal/external courses available)
- Learning & Development regarding upcoming training spots required
- Assist with the recruitment for YYC frontline and support positions; creating and coordinating internal and external recruiting events
- Maintain job descriptions and recruiting documents
- Coordinate base workshops/lunch and learns
- Support and accommodate inflight mods at YYC airport
Qualifications:
- Preferably 1 - 2 yrs of leadership experience including performance & ability management
- Human Resources certificate, diploma or degree or equivalent years of experience in a people leadership role
- Knowledge of WestJet People promises, guidelines and practices required
- 3 - 5 years experience in airline operations is an asset
- Proven ability to plan, develop and lead meetings
- Proven ability to provide high level of customer service to internal guests
- Intermediate knowledge of all Microsoft applications
- Able to deal with stressful situations and perform steadily under pressure
- Positive role model, outwardly demonstrates WestJet values
