Overview & Responsibilities:
This position will hold operating and financial responsibility for the performance of all cargo handling operations of Menzies Aviation at Toronto Pearson International Airport: Will hold full financial responsibility for the stations budget, operational performance and financial and non-financial outcomes Manage Terminal Supervisors together with all Safety and Administrative/Office personnel at the station. Required to manage customer relationships, participate in local industry activities and generally develop the awareness of airlines operating to Toronto about the products and services offered by the company. Responsible for overall direction, evaluation & development of the workforce. Accountable for all cargo movement to ensure that it is managed safely and securely, and to customer specifications. Ensure that all employees are properly trained in company and airline customer operating policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills:
Must have at significant aviation industry experience with demonstrable managerial experience within the cargo handling industry in Canada. Prior experience of working at Toronto Pearson International Airport would be an advantage; Ability to demonstrate a successful track record of dealing with airline customers at a station and head office level on both operational and commercial issues Possess an ability to manage and direct a local management team, and to display strong leadership and decision making abilities Must be methodical with an ability to interpret financial and operational reports Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing, and a background check as required by Transport Canada/CBSA
Applicants must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or hold or be able to obtain requisite employment authority to work in Canada.
