Senior Manager, Commercial Planning and Development Canadian North - Calgary, AB
Reports To: VP, Scheduled Services Posting: Internal & External Competition No: 42-SS2015

General:   The Senior Manager, Commercial Planning and Development, is responsible for the planning, implementation and maintenance of the Scheduled Services commercial functions for passenger operations.


Responsibilities:
  Actively participate in the Company’s Safety Management System (SMS) program and demonstrate knowledge of employee responsibilities regarding safety
 Lead the Commercial Planning team
 Responsible for Revenue Management as it pertains to scheduled passenger operations
 Analyze Canadian North and other airline schedules, with a focus on competitive factors to recommend commercial strategies
 Assist with the development and maintenance of the flight schedule
 Oversee schedule changes and associated communication
 Subject matter expert and responsible for the management of the Sabre reservations system, for all Scheduled and Charter operations
 Participate in Sabre customer council calls and review and investigate upcoming changes to Sabre system
 Oversee the testing of enhancements to the Sabre reservations system and coordinate implementation with the associated departments
 Responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of all Commercial Planning software systems
 Responsible for passenger facing websites and URLs, as they pertain to Commercial Planning
 Responsible for pricing and product distribution, including the management of fare classes, seat sales and communicating changes
 Oversee the Call Centre and all associated processes
 Oversee Customer Care and the coordination, tracking and communication of customer concerns and comments
 Assist senior management with developing and executing the department budget
 Participate in HR programs, including performance management and career development for direct reports
 Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
 Strong work experience with Sabre airline reservation system
 Proven experience in an Airline Revenue Management environment
 Strong and proven customer service skills both verbal and written
 Strong problem solving abilities
 Understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint)
 Demonstrated strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills  Understanding of GDS systems
 Ability to prioritize workload
