Commercial Planning and Development Canadian North -

Reports To: VP,

General: The Senior Manager, Commercial Planning and Development, is responsible for the planning, implementation and maintenance of
the Scheduled Services commercial functions for passenger operations.
Responsibilities:
Actively participate in the Company’s Safety
Management System (SMS) program and demonstrate knowledge of employee
responsibilities regarding safety
Lead the Commercial
Planning team
Responsible for
Revenue Management as it pertains to scheduled passenger operations
Analyze Canadian North
and other airline schedules, with a focus on competitive factors to recommend
commercial strategies
Assist with the
development and maintenance of the flight schedule
Oversee schedule
changes and associated communication
Subject matter expert
and responsible for the management of the Sabre reservations system, for all
Scheduled and Charter operations
Participate in Sabre
customer council calls and review and investigate upcoming changes to Sabre
system
Oversee the testing of
enhancements to the Sabre reservations system and coordinate implementation
with the associated departments
Responsible for the
development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of all Commercial Planning
software systems
Responsible for
passenger facing websites and URLs, as they pertain to Commercial Planning
Responsible for
pricing and product distribution, including the management of fare classes, seat
sales and communicating changes
Oversee the Call
Centre and all associated processes
Oversee Customer Care
and the coordination, tracking and communication of customer concerns and
comments
Assist senior
management with developing and executing the department budget
Participate in HR
programs, including performance management and career development for direct
reports
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Strong work experience
with Sabre airline reservation system
Proven experience in
an Airline Revenue Management environment
Strong and proven
customer service skills both verbal and written
Strong problem solving
abilities
Understanding of
Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint)
Demonstrated strong
organizational, communication and interpersonal skills Understanding of GDS
systems
Ability to prioritize
workload
