Reporting to the Director, External Communications, this position is responsible for developing, maintaining and executing the overall digital strategy for multiple channels. The Manager, Digital and Social Media is responsible for internal and external web environments, all social media channels and development of future digital assets for use in communicating with passengers and with employees.
Job Description Key Accountabilities:
- Developing and maintaining the overall digital strategy for Toronto Pearson, including voice, tone and channel management
- Develop and execute/oversee digital campaigns for a range of clients
- Develop and maintain a digital editorial calendar, including internal and external campaigns.
- Create and manage weekly, monthly and quarterly metrics report for Director, Executive Team and Board of Directors’ use
- Management and scheduling of website creative and social media content management
- Supports Search Engine Optimization, Search Engine Marketing and web accessibility
- Manages inter-departmental team in support of operational projects, digital channel improvements and data analysis, including management of confidential information.
- Working within the digital strategy, identifies opportunities to develop online communications efforts
- Standby responsibilities for digital requirements and for Emergency Operations Centre
- Develop training for internal stakeholders as the corporate centre of excellence for digital strategy for the GTAA
- Responsible for being a customer centric Leader with respect to the Mission, Vision, Values and Beliefs
Job Requirements Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Communications, Journalism or Languages
- Transportation Industry experience or industry related experience (aviation, etc.)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Digital Communications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in People Management (direct report or cross-functional)
- Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, customer centric environment
- Must be able to obtain and retain a Transportation Security Clearance
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to thrive in a high-demand, deadline driven environment
- Excellent writing skills for multiple media, with an eye for detail
- Digital content management experience
- Digital design experience
- Ability to work with outside agencies and service providers
- Knowledge of airport operations would be considered an asset
- Ability to support multiple clients with competing demands
