The Station Manager ensures that all aspects of the Brussels Airlines airport operation are in accordance with safety regulations in line with government and internal company guidelines at all times. The Station Manager is responsible for a safe, punctual and cost-effective service, ensuring best in class customer service on the ground (including airport ticketing, lounge, passenger handling and ramp handling activities, services delivered by airport authorities, ground transport and accommodation of Brussels Airlines’ crews) on a day-to-day basis in a timely manner.

Tasks:
The Station Manager is in charge of the complete handling and operational supervision, including Passenger and Ramp Handling, Cleaning, GSE and Catering activity during the turnaround

In accordance with regulations, ensures that Security and Safety is guaranteed at all times for Brussels Airlines’ Operations, passengers, employees, and company assets as per company rules and government regulations

Executes the agreed-upon Service Level Agreements and quality targets on the ground, including punctuality and reliability targets and takes corrective action in the field when Service Levels or quality targets are not met. Coordinates smooth handling of aircraft, passengers and baggage in the next station(s) on the route

Supervises Brussels Airlines‘ subcontracted services and manages own services in an efficient and cost efficient way, while staying in line with the set Service Level Agreements and quality targets. Trains, directs, and updates the relevant ground service suppliers in order to enable them to apply Brussels Airlines’ processes, procedures and product in the respective station

Represent Brussels Airlines in local Airport Operation Committee and Airport User Committees

Daily management of all Aviation Security responsibilities

Assumes appropriate role in the event of an emergency response activation of the Contingency Plan; Keeps Contingency Plan and Matrix up to date

Responsible for administration, budgeting and accounting, as well as ensuring outsourced ground services are in compliance with the set contracts. Ensures the interests of the company are upheld in a manner reflecting the ethical values of Brussels Airlines

Follows-up, manages and maximizes the operational revenues, including but not limited to Airport Ticketing Office and Excess Baggage Revenues, following the targets as set in the Budget

Planning, organization, implementation and supervision of local projects and special activities at the station

Ensure proper training for all team members relevant to their individual tasks

Lead the local station team during the entire shift, incl. supervisory responsibilities

Ensure adequate work flow and load as well as a professional and respectful working environment within teams as well as attending to any personnel issues and team needs

Bachelor degree or equivalent through experience
At least 5 years of airport operations experience
In depth know-how of all aspects of Ground Operations
Authoritative and ensuring commitments by supplies are met.
Cost conscious approach and extremely customer-focused
Ability to network (internally and externally) diplomatically
Ensuring smooth cooperation between the company and local airport authorities, handlers, airport staff, and government agencies
Experience in multicultural environments
Fluent in English and local language wherever applicable
Must be able to endure high stress levels with tight timelines
