Reporting to the Manager, Maintenance Technical Center (MTC) this position is responsible for the processing and control of incoming requests related to maintenance work and systems. This position will maintain daily operational oversight and work order management for maintenance resources and systems and providing update and status of ongoing maintenance activities.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities:
Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with various stakeholders within the IOCC (e.g. RMU, AOC and MAO) for efficient and effective transfer of information and updates throughout events and activities involving system outages and other operational impacts, and to effectively negotiate maintenance requirements in balance with operational demands

As a central point of contact, receive and process work requests through various sources/media; investigate /screen, collect and record detailed work requirements, translate to work orders and otherwise process as needed

Maintain awareness of all Maintenance Operations and activities throughout the airport on a daily to weekly basis; work with Maintenance Supervisors, Response Managers and Manager Airport Operations & Manager Operations teams to optimize utilization of the Maintenance staff while maintaining the integrity of the weekly maintenance schedule to meet urgent requests

Provide CMMS (AMMS/Maximo) function and oversight to ensure that work orders are properly closed or otherwise processed appropriately in coordination with Crew Supervisors and/or Response Managers

Monitor Benchmark metrics, identify trends, and adjust the maintenance schedule to achieve the daily/ weekly goals

Maintains daily Maintenance Performance Indicator records, charts and reports

Monitor, compile and distribute daily reports related to maintenance activities and the work order management process such as but not limited to; schedule attainment of repair, project and preventative maintenance work programs

Participate as required in meetings and initiatives with the purpose of problem solving and solutioning ways to improve attainment, efficiencies, cost of ownership and remove obstacles that impede achievement

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
The successful candidate(s) must possess a post‐secondary school education or an acceptable combination of education and/or experience

A minimum of three (3) years within a facilities maintenance, airport or aviation environment, where emergency dispatch and/or call center experience is preferred

Experience in a maintenance management environment is also an asset

Demonstrated experience in customer service, interacting with stakeholders and multi‐tasking. In addition, he/she must possess strong computer and computer keyboarding skills

Candidates will be required to demonstrate an acceptable level of computer keyboarding skills and will be required to successfully pass a computer keyboarding skills test, obtaining a minimum of 40 words per minute with 90% accuracy

Must have a fully satisfactory work performance in his/her current position and a work record that is void of discipline and unacceptable attendance that would have a bearing on the duties, roles and responsibilities of the posted position

Must meet the security level designated for the position

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of the GTAA maintenance systems, standards and requirements

Knowledge of EAM operations and systems maintenance requirements

Knowledge of and ability to utilize CMMS applications (AMMS/Scheduler/Maximo)

Knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling procedures

Ability to create maintenance work labour estimates

Knowledge of and ability to effectively utilize GTAA radio systems and protocols

Knowledge of and ability to utilize resource tracking software such as Perspective and Ztron

Knowledge of inventory control practices and procedures

Knowledge of procurement process and timelines

Knowledge and ability to apply the APTS “Back Charge” process and related documents (Building Facilities Services Guide)

Knowledge of Equipment Life Cycle and Asset Management Programs

Knowledge of GTAA record keeping policies and practices

Knowledge of and ability to utilize Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, Access)

Knowledge and understanding of Maintenance programs including all trades and corresponding Maintenance activities

Effective interpersonal skills, multi-tasking skills and presentation skills are required

Must be dependable and have the ability to apply sound judgment

Excellent oral, written and listening communication skills
