The Kelowna International Airport (YLW) represents an employment cluster of nearly 2,000 jobs and over $310 million in regional economic activity annually. Passenger numbers at YLW continue to grow in 2015 with an expectation to exceed the 2014 total passenger numbers of 1.6 million!
This is an all-encompassing management role that deals with all aspects of regular operations at the Kelowna International Airport. As a flexible and dynamic leader, join the team at YLW and help us deliver efficient and effective airport operations on a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and statutory holidays.
With your recent related experience in airport management, you will provide management oversight on all facets of the airport’s operation, including but not limited to, airport planning, leading, and organizing such activities as inspections, construction programs, safety hazard analysis, security risk assessments, apron management, airside operations compliance monitoring, and tenant monitoring programs.
Post-secondary training in airport management and safety/security training are considered assets. As a key management contact, your customer service, communication and problem-solving skills are essential. Candidates must have the ability to obtain a Transport Canada Restricted Area Identification Card clearance and an Airside Vehicle Operator’s Permit.
