Flight Attendant (approximately 20-35 hours per week) Are you an enthusiastic, polished and experienced individual with extensive customer service experience and have an interest in the aviation field? Responsibilities
- Works in aircraft aisles and galleys; standing, reaching, walking, kneeling, stooping, and sitting during takeoff and landing
- Strictly enforces emergency and safety procedures consistent with all Transport Canada regulations and company policies/procedures
- Coordinates on-board activity with In-charge Flight Attendant, when applicable
- Provides leadership, direction, and assistance during emergencies
- Reports any and all activities which could adversely affect passenger safety to appropriate flight personnel
- Operates safety and emergency equipment including stairs, oxygen systems, aircraft doors, evacuation slides, fire extinguishers, galley equipment, communications equipment, and lighting systems
- Delivers exceptional customer service while performing pre-flight and in-flight duties, including serving beverages/snacks with a smile
- Willingness to go the extra mile for our valued customers.
Requirements
- Must be 19 years or older
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must hold a Canadian Passport or a Canadian Permanent Resident Card
- Must obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identification Card (requires a 5-year traceable history and a clear criminal record)
- Minimum two years’ previous customer service experience required; related experience in aviation would be a significant asset
- Previous flight attendant experience an asset, but not required
- Above average interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to work rotating shift work, weekends, holidays, and travel on a consistent basis
- Ability to perform physical duties as outlined, such as pushing and pulling 50 pounds, lifting 20 pounds overhead
- Must successfully meet pre-employment drug & alcohol testing requirements
- Fluency in both English and French is an asset.
- Must complete an up to 6 week training program
Work Conditions
- This position will involve frequent travel, work shifts are Sunday to Thursdays. However, we are a charter airline and irregular hours, working weekends, and the need for schedule flexibility are key in this position.
